basically, my iTouch refuses to connect to the internet.
It finds my wireless network and connects to it with no problem but Safari or any other app that uses internet cant connect.

I check my Wi-fi settings and noticed that there was no entry for the DNS, so i manually added it and it still doesnttt work.
Ive tried setting static addresses but it also fails.

what do i do, im out of options, thinking about just returning it TBH..  Cry

First try a hard reset (Home + Sleep/Wake button, until you see the Apple Logo). If that does resolve the issue, soft reset (Settings>General>Reset>Reset all Settings). If that doesn't resolve the issue backup everything to your computer & restore the iPod Touch to factory.

Another thing you can try to do before you restore is powercycle the network for at least 2mins.

Not legally.

All the apps from the App Store are tied to them iTunes Store account they were purchased/downloaded with.

What you need to do is to "break it from the big house" (real word is one word) if you want freedom from the itunes store and get steeply discounted everything apps.

If you have a 3G itouch you're going to do some more hard time in there.... sadly for the time being.

If you have a 2G one you're good to bust out.  Wink

That's just how Apple has it setup. Now if you knew your friend's login & password, you could authorize your CPU to sync the apps & be able to keep both.
